Deceased Name: Dorothy Sachs Davis Dorothy Sachs Davis, 80, Kenwood Avenue, formerly of West Third Street, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 1995, in the Benedictine Health Center. She was born in Hibbing and lived in Duluth since 1935. She retired in 1981 after 15 years of service as an intake specialist for the Minnesota Job Service. She was a member of Temple Israel, the Temple Israel Sisterhood, and Hadassah. She was also a member of AARP and the State Employees Retirement Association. She volunteered for and was a member of the Miller-Dwan Medical Center Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Benedictine Health Center Auxiliary as well as serving on several of the resident boards. Her parents were Nathen and Ida Sachs. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Davis Carlson of Duluth and Nancy Davis Kirsch of Northridge, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Temple Emanuel Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Benedictine Health Center.
